The McLaughlins, Lorraine and Paul, are lifelong musicians, Lorraine from age 5 and Paul at 8. They have been performers, music educators, music therapists, as well as arrangers and composers for a combined 68 years. Paul at 14 was playing trumpet professionally with members of the United States Coast Guard Band. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston on trumpet.

Together, Paul and Lorraine have performed and presented clinics at national music conventions in Dallas, Washington, D.C., Rochester and over 20 state conferences. They are regulars at the Barberville Pioneer Settlement as well as making appearances in St. Augustine and local theatre.

The McLaughlin Music Experience plays traditional and original Celtic ballads to high energy tunes from past to present using a variety of instrumentation including guitar, Celtic harp, Irish tin whistles, and many others, plus vocals.
